Grand Theft Auto - Liberty City Game Preview Episodes
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes of Liberty City is a unique concept in the world of video games because they are two independent episodes that do not require the original GTA IV to function. Therefore, people who do not have GTA IV can purchase these new minigames and play them at full capacity. This new game will be available on XBox Live on October 29th and is definitely worth checking out because it offers two new missions in typical GTA gaming style.
The new episode found on this album is called The Ballad of Gay Tony. In this episode, you will play as a bodyguard named Luis López. López is also a business partner of Gay Tony, who constantly pursues the interests of the main character. Tony owns two of the best nightclubs in Liberty City, but he’s recently gotten in trouble with suspicious people and needs your help to fix things. If you’ve played GTA IV, you’ll recognize some of the happenings in town as Lopez’s story unfolds, as these video games don’t have a bit of overlap. Like Lopez, you will be forced to deal with upper-class issues, as he doesn’t deal with street hoods like many other GTA characters do.
An example of this comes from a mission in which Luis López has to rely on the owner of the Liberty City professional hockey team, as a Russian crime lord named Bulgarin wants to buy the team and the owner refuses to sell. As with everything else in high society, everyone has a price, so it is up to Luis López to find that price so that people get what they want. If they don’t run out, as is the case with the owner of the hockey team, Lopez is forced to kill them, as is customary in GTA video games.
Some of the new features in this episode include more helicopters and other stunts, as the high-profile nature of these deals ensures that Lopez is constantly doing reckless maneuvers. There are also a number of new weapons included with these games, as Lopez has more budget than the GTA characters they have had in the past. Other unique features, such as planted electrical charges, allow Lopez to care for people remotely, so he doesn’t even have to be in the area to get revenge on someone. An example of this occurs when some policemen get too close to López and Bulgarin. In this scene, the two of you and another gangster go into hiding while some police officers explode while searching Bulgarin’s car. As is common in these video games, the police invade the area and you are forced to escape and hide. This scene alone makes these games worth buying because it’s exclusive to Grand Theft Auto: Episodes of Liberty City.
If you feel like you are ready to get into a white collar crime then this game is definitely a must play. In these video games you will take care of some high-level criminals, who have the resources to make you disappear very quickly. Lopez even gets a chance to practice running nightclubs through a series of minigames, making Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Episodes something worth checking out.
The other episode that is included with this game is The Lost and the Damned, which is part of the original GTA IV game. In this episode, you’ll play Johnny, a reformed motorcycle gang member who finds himself in the middle of a turf war. Johnny is about the lowest level of criminals, which is very different from Luis López’s story. The good news is that since you will be getting both of these video games on one disc, you will be able to experience all levels of crime through these games. This two-disc set will be available in stores or via Xbox Live on October 29 and all GTA lovers will definitely love these video games because they perfectly add to the legacy that GTA has left in the past.
