Beware of the private message phishing scam!

There are some assholes trying to steal your credit card numbers and personal information by pretending to be mods and claiming that you won a giveaway for a gift card based on a post you made.

If you get a private message with something like this …

> Our Reddit team randomly selected it for our monthly giveaway for a $ 100 gift card

Send a PM to /r/reddit.com to inform the user of the administrators. Please do not send us a message with the report because we have no authority over private messages.
