DeMartini's method
Questions for Dr. DeMartini in an interview with Rheba Rack
Q: How did you design the DeMartini Method?
A: I started at 18 years old studying atomic physics, chemistry and astronomy, which sparked my desire to integrate science and religion. As my studies progressed, topics began to encompass an exploration of psychology and philosophy. He wanted to find out if he could maximize human potential and consciousness through a real method. When I entered chiropractic I used my integrated approach to healing. Before entering chiropractic I was on premedication and the precursors of the DeMartini Method emerged from the beginning. I learned that there were 18 particles and antiparticles to make light. I realized that positive and negative emotions create enlightenment. That was the beginning of my intention to clinically formulate the basis of the method 20 years ago, which I then composed and taught people how to use.
Q: You have an interesting background in childhood. Professors and doctors almost dismissed you. How did it go otherwise?
A: Yes, they told me it would never amount to anything. I dropped out of school at 14 and was a street kid for a while. Then I met a teacher at 17 in Hawaii, on the North Shore, in a yoga class. I thought I could do it. This opportunity to meet a 93-year-old philosopher made me have an epiphany that changed my life. At 18 I moved back to Texas and lived for 18 months with parents who were happy for me to go back to school after getting my GED and becoming one of the best students.
The street years went from 13 to 18 and I was in Texas, Mexico, California, I hitchhiked in America and then I got to Hawaii. I never focused on that drift experience. I was surfing and headed to Hawaii. I had a goal to surf and my epiphany at 17 to be a teacher. I really wanted to be a teacher and with that energy nothing stopped me.
Q: How do you explain your triumph over the label “learning disabilities” and what do you mean to parents who have a young child labeled this way? Can you share the key milestones of the boy who was canceled by the teachers to the man you are today who travels the world spreading a positive message for many people? What key quality in you do you think made you prove them wrong around the world?
A: Meeting the teacher was so great. He almost died at 17 and dedicated his life to wisdom. It was an important catalyst. I also met a homeless man in El Paso, Texas who told me to learn and love wisdom. Everything took root at 17. At 18 I failed the first college exam after GED, I was determined, I wasn’t letting anything stop me. I became a voracious student learning everything I could. It would devour anything from 3 to 20 hours a day.
Q: Did you ever think you were doing this?
A: I just assumed that I would be a surfer. I rode the biggest waves in the world. Whatever I really set my mind to, I found a way to do it.
Q: What is the basic premise of this methodology and how would you describe it if you were to create a curriculum for a course on the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School?
A: gratitude. Whatever you think about what you provoke. When you set your intention, you begin to notice opportunities. If you have enough motivation, you would do something. The DeMartini Method helps shift the focus to one of gratitude to set intentions for a happier experience. There is a physical and a non-physical reality, and a domino effect begins with a change in perception. William James stated that he alters life by changing his mind. The mind changes the body, the spirit changes the mind, and then amazing things happen.
I already have a training method for psychologists, which is a real curriculum. The training of professionals in the DeMartini method is a project that is already underway. It is a structured format. Prince Edward Island University (UPEI) in Canada has a professor of psychology who teaches it. One school in Venezuela and two schools in Spain are implementing it.
The DeMartini method takes a certain path of retraining perception. A fundamental change in cognitive behavior is based on a series of questions. The questions generate the quality of life. The events in life and the questions around you can bring balance. The method challenges someone to see what they have lost and what they have gained in the same event in life. Then DeMartini’s questions lead the patient’s mind to see the benefits. This leads to balance and equilibrium that balances perception in a way that is aligned with the person’s strongest values. There are a series of 40 questions about stressful angles. When we can rebalance perception with core values, there is gratitude and love.
I have worked with people who have experienced traumatic events that almost destroyed them. I work with people from all walks of life. A woman I worked with survived the Tsunami. We met privately for three hours and 20 minutes to resolve the death of her husband, son, and two friends. I have used the DeMartini Method to deal with death, incest, dismemberment, everything that people face. Healing begins when we are faced with how we function, perceive, and take control of our thoughts by discovering the hidden order of what governs our debilitating perceptions.
Q: How do you explain staying stuck?
A: When a person is rigid in his perceptions and cannot see a balance with his values and events, he tends to get caught up in an emotional state. Each person has a hierarchy of values. When your maximum values are very challenged, you will see more negatives and be blind to the positive. Extreme infatuation is blind to negative. Both forms are polarized and it is difficult for the mind to see the other side. The DeMartini method links the other side to values because polarized emotions cannot see the gift in the situation. I stay with the client until they get it.
Q: What are the statistical results of the DeMartini Method? Have you measured the quantitative benefits of people who have gone through the method and, if so, what are some specific measurable results in their lives of remarkable improvement?
A: I have not done a PhD. thesis. I’m too busy sharing it. The numbers are growing. Something is happening clinically. It’s not that I can’t quantify the results, but it hasn’t been my focus. No one disputes when they experience the benefits. I don’t need to prove it. Skeptics can do that. For those who believe that proof is not needed. People who are receptive are receptive. There are still people in the Big Bang theory because of an old belief system.
Q: What universities have studied your method and what are the academic results so far?
A: The psychology professor named Ken Peirce at UPEI has taught a very popular course on the DeMartini Method for four years.
Q: Why does the DeMartini Method work? What is the only “healing agent” for him?
A: Gratitude and love heal and support the immune system. It is the paradigm from which the method comes. Some clients are depressed, but there is no medical evidence for this. Why? It looks like depression. They are in the fantasy of a life compared to something that seems better. What they are really comparing their life with is a false reality. Inside your psyche is a fantasy and a nightmare. I don’t buy the depression label. I just disowned parts of perception and an addiction to fantasy. What are you comparing your life with too? When a person finds the answer, depression will resolve on its own. I don’t label people. The premise of the method is that we all have magnificence and genius.
I have yet to see someone who does not benefit unless they are under extreme medicine. Many are trapped in medicines due to an escape drug culture. People are used to taking one pill for each disease. It is a way to dissociate using a non-responsible method. I teach people how to do it on their own. The DeMartini Method is a perceptual dynamic between the questions and the client.
Q: How would you describe addiction?
A: I take a modified approach when working with an addict. It is very step by step so you can identify what addiction is all about. We enter from the angle: what are the benefits you are obtaining? This brings the unconscious to consciousness when the benefits of addiction are revealed. So the client usually has tears. They are grateful to have a strategy to get what they want without shame, blame, and guilt. They can now propose alternatives. For each benefit of addiction, we present five alternative ways and bind ourselves to the highest values. We diversify opportunities around seeking other behaviors to moderate and eventually eliminate addictive activity. No tag, no diagnosis, just retraining.
Q: What are shame attacks?
A: Any addiction is a subdiction. It is a way of avoiding yourself and something around you. Shame is the common trigger. Every time you are doing something socially unacceptable it is a cycle of shame and guilt. I help dissolve that by helping them see that they are worthy of love. This serves them and others. It is a clean and balanced approach that fosters self-esteem and eliminates emotional baggage. Addiction and sub-addiction are also due to misperceptions. The method reframes what you perceive instead of blaming. Your mind can make your life hell depending on your value systems. Heaven is when your values support your operating system. All life events are neutral until you re-evaluate them.
Q: What motivated you to bring this healing modality to the world?
A: When I met James Newman (mathematician) about sacred geometry and calculated Greek proportions to inspire awe. It is architecture. He wanted to induce the same state of awe with perceptions. I am sure that it can induce a mystical and religious people in proportion to perceptions: a “state of grace”. During a DeMartini seminar, innovative experiences do not stop until each body experiences that state, they learn to access it at any time in their lives, and they are grateful. I remember meeting a 20-year-old teacher who had 6 PhDs out of 35. His work was on the Hidden Order of Perfection, which led me to explore theodynamics, which also led me to many systems that are used during a process. .
Q: What do you think of the interventions like in that A&E reality show?
A: If you don’t have power, people dominate you. People who are so depressed need multiple intervention. I mean to empower people to stand up.
Q: How about enablers?
A: There are two sides to the coin. Hidden benefits of importance and search for parental figures. It is a dynamic where there is no growth. Both the enabler and the addict stop and stagnate. You don’t do anything with anyone who doesn’t ask. If you are interfering with others, then intervene. Let them bottom out, then that’s fine. If you would like to advance I have some tools.
Q: Why do some really fear possessing their power?
A: There are 7 basic fears: breaking ethics, breaking spiritual authority, not being smart / smart enough, fear of failure, money and financial doom, losing loved ones, fear of rejection of authority and society, fear of health, death and disease. . Fear will immobilize. Fear of change overrides fear of where they are. What is your dominant motive is to discover the main fear that is holding you back.
Q: Do you think your method could help children with “ADHD” and their parents from a lifetime of limiting labels?
A: When I was in first grade, I was diagnosed with a dyslexic learning disability. When he doesn’t know the cause of the behavior, they label him. It is not a common thing to study. I am sure it can help them because neuro integrates the functioning of the brain. Educators are very interested in how the brain works in terms of perception and neurochemistry. The South African Board of Education asked me to design a pilot for their education system.
Any area of culture that is not educated is vulnerable to that kind of “pill” thinking. Many people take prescription medications. Parents are told that their child has this and that. There are true cases of injured children, while others simply need proper counseling. Labels are a marketing tool. It is ignorance of society. We need to educate from all options and use the power of the mind. The main industries take over labels to promote their products to so many people. Children with ADHD can play video games for 6 years. They’re not focused, but a highly focused system and video game support their kind of attention.
Q: Do you have plans to come to Canada to discuss the method?
A: I will do a seminar in Toronto. Keep checking my website for a schedule.
Q: Do they call you another Werner Erhardt?
A: I am impacting people in the same way as him. I have 57 courses, more complete, it has some overlapping principles. I am exploring potentials. I wanted to serve. I am sure that to do what you did, you had to have a motive or intention. He was not the smartest business person to press the buttons. The greatest minds in history push buttons. New paradigm. Ridiculous and imprisoned. I wouldn’t hold that against Werner. He was a renegade who defied people and went through trials and tribulations. I plan to bring the DeMartini method to children’s programs, teach a million students in South Africa, a value determination process, an innovative program, youth and teen pilots, etc.
Q: How can you educate an entire society?
A: I will not stop until I touch 3 billion people. Every vehicle I find and discover I will use. I better expand. Effort is needed. Never underestimate the power of a small group of people to change history. Only belief systems are holding us back. You can argue about theories but the results are results. There is always room for improvement if one is willing to refine. There is no end to it. Theories are constantly refined and reformulated. I want to improve people’s understanding and how to best apply it. As soon as you are green, you will be growing. I am constantly growing.
Q: Who are your current teachers and source refinement?
A: New clinical applications emerge when I work with people. I ask new questions. Books, the Internet, specialists, they all invent a way in which these things work. Whatever it takes to create a model. There is no established model. It is never done. Keep working on it.
Q: Are you doing your vocation? Do you feel that something else is working through you?
A: When I am in the area, there is a larger intelligence matrix that guides you. Like a book that writes itself. Intuitive connective superior to the superior consciousness that permeates the Universe.
Q: Don’t you think someone who has no remedy?
A: Some people exceed my questions at the time. The level of my knowledge has been exceeded. Then I expand the knowledge. Pollution is eventually a resource once we know what to do with it. Now I can do things that I couldn’t 10 years ago.
Q: Are you addicted to work?
A: it is inspiration. I love what I am doing, it is my mission. What is the distinction? It is a label. Labels are a by-product whose values are questioned. When health professionals are challenged, they are presented with a label. I believe what people call alcoholism. A woman suffered an injury and has been drinking every day for 15 years. The wound shocked her greatly. He hasn’t had a drink since then. We will not return. If there is a deep unconscious motive, they continue. If not, they change.
It is not an “aholism”: it is a highly condensed system of strategy values. I help diversify it. The disease is wrong. Incompetence to know what strategies to help integrate their lives. It is all based on what you have associated. Nothing is established. Break the fantasy and accumulated benefits from new ways of being. Addictions are seeing pleasure without the pain it costs.
I never see profit and loss and only see transformation to break the idea of loss. A human being who can adapt to any place is truly free. Turning it into an opportunity. The universe is neutral until we label it.
Q: How does someone do the DeMartini method on himself?
A: Learn the questions. What is it that pushes the buttons on that person? Who do you see when you recognize that trait? Keep doing this until you possess that trait so much. How does your behavior serve me? How can you perceive it so that it doesn’t work? Don’t I want to change, just to see magnificence? How has that reaction served you? This dissolves guilt. Can you change the shape of the trait in yourself? Where does this person have the opposite for that trait? This breaks the label. At the very moment they were doing that action that was doing the opposite. Love is the synthesis of the opposite. If they had not been so, what are the drawbacks? This breaks the fantasy. The negative trait is fantasy to the contrary. Stop and see how the positive can be an inconvenience. Keep searching and dig until you find the answer. I can’t means I don’t have the motivation to watch. Link it to your high core values. No one leaves the advance until they find it.
Q: How do you enroll in DeMartini’s royal seminar?
A: Enter the Internet and register. The price depends on the city and the country. $ 800 to $ 1000 per weekend.
Q: What is your great message?
A: We live in a magnificent universe and we have tremendous power within. Learn to perceive and act in life. You can go as far as you want in life. I have seen both worlds. I know it is possible. Power is in non-dependency.
